Mary- what?

I was just taking a shower, and I was thinking a bit. I thought: what kind of shoes do I like? The answer: a lot of shoes. One kind is the Mary Jane shoe. They are very cute. But, the question is, why are they called 'Mary Jane'? Mmm, tough question.

Always very helpful when you need it. This is what is says about Mary Janes, very interesting:

Mary Jane was a character created by Richard Outcault for his comic strip, Buster Brown, which was first published in 1902. She was the sister of the title character, Buster Brown.
In 1904, Outcault travelled to the St. Louis World's Fair and sold licenses to up to 200 companies to use the Buster Brown characters to advertise their products. Among them was the Brown Shoe Company, who later hired actors to tour the country, performing as the Buster Brown characters in theaters and stores. This strategy helped the Brown Shoe Company become the most prominently associated brand with the Buster Brown characters. The style of shoe Buster Brown's sister wore came to be known by her name, Mary Jane

It's hard to live in the city

Today I'm feeling much better. Maybe because I did some shopping? Mm, I dont know.. This morning I was up at 7 0'clock because we went to the 'lapjesmarkt' in Utrecht. It is a market where you can buy all sorts of textile and things to sew. Its very nice, and quite big. I bought some stuff too. I don't now sure what I will make of it. Maybe a skirt or a pillow, or a bag! Here is a picture:

Dark blue denim, pink flowers, brown checks with retro flowers and some grey checkered ribbon and some knitted lace.

We had some time left, so I hurried to H&M! We were the first customers, it was so heavenly quiet. I loved it. And, ofcourse, I bought something there.

White with blue top for the summer.

Sort of grey coloured short jacket. Its a bit suede or something..

And I looove this hose! Its so happy and nice for spring and summer. I didnt buy it because I dont have something to wear it with. Only winter skirts and a leather skirt. Maybe I will buy it another time when I have found a nice skirt to match it with. But don't you think its cute? :)

That afternoon I had to post a card. I went on my bike and I decided to cycle a little through the village. It's hard to live in the city, and that's why I live in the village ;) I made some pictures, but they didnt turned out very nice because I didnt dare to stop in front of the houses.. It looks a bit weird when someone you don't know is standing in front of your house taking pictures of it... Mmm.

This is picture isnt very nice. Its about the idea behind it. The window with the flowers and curtains! How cute. I wanted to make a picture but didnt dare to stop so i cycled very slow to take a picture. I can tell you, it doesnt work.

The church with a tree.

This is a garden of a house that I like to call 'the haunted house'. The house is very big, with a lot of dark colours and big trees. It also has a big garden. That's the only colourful thing. The flowers with the duck, I just like the combination. Oh, and it's haunted because no one wants to live in it. It's for sale for over 2 years I think.. Weird.

Mm, I just like the déad-looking-tree thingie ;)

I think I'm empty inside

Oh my.

No nice posts today.. my head hurts, my legs, and I have a stomachache. And I have to learn. Ugh, I'm really not very into it today. I feel very stupid and useless. Anyone an idea to get more people to read my blog? I feel like I'm talking to nobody, and it feels weirdo. I want to share my life with you. On the internet ofcourse.
And I promis, that later I will make pictures of my outfits for you. But I just look weird and I'm a bit shy... I'm afraid people will think my outfits suuck. Ooh, this is a very depressed post! Just don't mind me, when I'm not feeling well, I'm really not feeling well. I get very moody then.. But tomorrow I will be better and I hope someone has commented my posts :)

Yesterday was my sisters birthday. I was not very excited, though it was quite fun. My sweet sweet grandmother bought me some gum. Very funny ones! One is called 'catt bútt gum', and the other one is 'supermodel meal in a box'. This is written on the package of the first one:

'7 helpful occasions to chew this gum.

1. When you suddenly need to change your mood.

2. When somebody yell at you and you don't want to listen.

3. If you are lack of attitude.

4. When you need to refuse.

5. When you want to be picky.

6. When you want to be selfish.

Paris is burning all night long

Today is my little sisters birthday.. she's 13 now. How sweet :) At 2 o'clock there will be lots of people at my home. Aunts, uncles, grandma's, granddad's.. Family. It's always very busy, a birthday in our house. But there will be a lot of people so I have to dress up nice! I wanted to make a picture of my outfit, but my camera's batterys are not full. So I made a drawing of it in paint.

Every day is a good day

It's weekend again.. A weekend is only two days, but it always feels like a week. I do so much different thing in a weekend! Shopping, meeting friends, making pictures, birthdays, cinema... And sometimes homework. I really like weekend. And I like holidays! Its weird: I don't always enjoy going to school. But when I had a holiday for 1 or 2 weeks, at the end I wanna go to school! I always think: Oh god, this isn't normal! But now I think it is, actually. I think everyone has it! And it's kinda okay, so when I'm back at school I enjoy it more. And ofcourse, I've gotta be happy that I can gó to school. There are people who don't go to school and work all day to earn some money. Let's hope those kids will have a bright future too. So enjoy everyday, I think.

And today I got a lot of compliments... Mm, I don't know why, actually. My hair was kinda normal, I wore normal clothes. I only wore a new pair of jeans, but I don't think that it was the cause for all these compliments. I was cycling to my home this afternoon with C. en S. We were talking about clothes and fashion and stuff. C. said to me: 'I think you are the kind of who has her own style.' I said something stupid like 'Oh, thankyou.' That was the end of the conversation. But when I came home, I thought: Every has her own style. Because, if you were the clothes you like (and I think everybody does), you have your own style! You will not wear clothes you don't like. So I just found that out this afternoon.

This is having your own style.

But this is also having your own style! ;)

There's a big difference between 'having your own style' and 'being apart'.

So that's todays lesson, hope you learnt something from it.

I'm being very right now..
My mummy thinks I'm studying science, but I'm not. Im just updating my blog a little! Tomorrow I have a test, but I really dont want to.. I dont like this subject.. Its too boring for me. Just give me some action and fun! Big explosions, yeah, that will be better. I dont have a lot to say right now, so that's it for today. Tomorrow I will post more, because: its weekend then! Hey , take a walk on the wild side

Hi

I totally forgot to tell, but I'm very angry at my little sister. Maybe I even her a bit... How it happened: Last summer, I bought some fabulous pair of heartshaped sunglasses at Urban Outfitters. I was totally in love with them. I still am, by the way. My sister liked them too, but I told her not to buy the same ones because not many people have these glasses. Last saturday she went shopping with a friend, and when she came home, she wanted to show me something. Something inside me said: Oh no, not the glasses, not the glasses... I really didn't hoped she bought the glasses, cause then I will be very angry at her. And ofcourse, she bought almost the same glasses but then they were €3, and mine €25... Omg... She said: I hope you dont mind, but they were just €3 so I couldnt let them go! And I thought maybe my mother will say she has to bring them back, but she didnt. She just helped my sister. 'She tried to call you if its okay, but you didnt answer your phone!' and 'She has bring one for you too, thats very nice of her, dont you think?' NO! Pff, now she can keep them. And in the summer we will be lying at the beach with the same glasses. Not so cool.

All I want is candy

Today I had a very short day at school. The teachers had to discuss some things, so we had lessons until 11 o'clock. After school, we wanted to do something fun. But we all couldn't think of anything nice. We wanted to go to the 'childrens farm' (?), but two of us were wearing skirts, and that's not the perfect outfit for it. With all the goats and the sheep... So we did nothing. I went home. And fortunately, my new ELLE was there! So I went to sit at the table and I read the whole magazine. Without a pause. Then I went to the centre of the village to do some groceries with my mother. I bought some delicious lollipops! My friend Jenn's birthday is tommorrow, so she decided to give us some candies at school. I really liked the lollipops, so I bought them straightaway. I really like them, they are sweet and sour. Okay, enough about the lollipops :)

These things make me think about candies... Yummie.
